Q: Why did you choose i-POWER?

We chose i-Power for its intuitive system, open architecture platform and ease of navigation. We have been pleased with the diligence and support the staff at EPL has demonstrated. EPL is a data processor that is totally owned by credit unions and has been recognized by CUNA, we look forward to a great partnership with.

Q: Why did I select EPL as our core data processor?

Because EPL is unique, as we credit unions are. EPL is a credit union owned cooperative that practices the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People”. I had the opportunity to see the demonstrations and sales pitch of many other data processing vendors but EPL stood above the rest because of the integrity of the people that make the company. The iPower software is customized to fulfill the needs of every size of credit unions. Everything that I was told they could do for us happened and my small credit union became a member of the family and not just a client.

Q: Why did you choose i-POWER?

To my credit union, the open architecture has a powerful benefit; it allows me to use i-POWER alongside products provided by vendors that I already utilize. I-POWER’s open architecture offers a flexibility that allows us to realize our own strategy, not one driven by our core processor.

Q: Why did you choose to invest in EPL?

There are many reasons why investing in EPL will be good for Colorado Springs Credit Union: First, I believe that EPL will take the credit union industry by storm; i-POWER has that kind of potential. Also, by being an owner and user of i-POWER, our $118 million asset credit union will take advantage of the features developed for and paid for by billion dollar asset-sized credit unions. In this way, i-POWER will help us innovate and operate like a larger sized credit union than we really are; not to mention, the releases are deployed at no extra charge to the benefit of all

During our data processing search process it quickly became clear that “credit union” or “credit union league” data processing options provide a better value. As we analyzed the two remaining companies it became clear that EPL possessed a more experienced and knowledgeable level of staff. This was evident in both our personal discussions with your staff and references from your existing customers. The level of satisfaction among your existing customers impressed us. We were also impressed with the way your employees really listened to our concerns, provided feedback in areas of the products that we needed specific enhancement, and made those changes based on our input. EPL has designed their products around the credit unions needs, giving us the ability to add input throughout our partnership.

As we looked toward the future we needed a system that was easy to use and efficient. One that would grow and add value to our member service. EPL's new i-Power System does just that. The i-Power internet browser based system lets us focus on delivering services to our members and not managing software. EPL and Hopewell FCU are long term partners.

Q: When asked why Metro Employees chose EPL ?

I was definitely impressed by EPL’s ownership structure (being credit union owned) and that they were able to provide an online system able to meet our needs then, now and into the future.

Q: When asked how Metro Employees is able to provide the full service product spectrum ?

EPL allows us to offer our members a broad range of products and services because they are more than a data processor; they are an overall solution provider and a one-stop-shop.

We found that EPL’s operating system is truly a leader in the marketplace. While the system is “user friendly”, it is also highly sophisticated so as to provide us with extensive data reports for management purposes. We are particularly impressed with EPL’s optical storage, improved member monthly statements, home banking, and the ability to provide e-statements. The member profile input screens will allow us to collect more information than what we are currently able to do. Finally, we believe the EPL system will assist us in further improving our ability to segment our membership for niche marketing.

I was really impressed with the fact that EPL is credit union owned and has such excellent references regarding customer support.

We have been with EPL since 1991 and we have had very good service with them. It is not just the products they provide but their customer service as well.
