EPL can provide Email personal information management (PIM) services to its data center or in-house clients using Microsoft’s ASP model. This eliminates the need for the credit union to purchase server hardware and software licenses and provide internal expertise to manage email related activities. Credit unions can purchase Microsoft Exchange email boxes and use Microsoft Outlook to manage email, calendaring, contact, task and note activities. In addition, EPL can provide remote access via the Internet for Web Outlook client and Microsoft Windows Mobile client for PDA access. This concept provides a user access to personal information using many devices for access. The user is not tied to a single device for PIM access!
